  1. Many people think more core more threads better but the results are average for gaming is pretty similar. I have my 8700k it is still a champ. I dont understand why make the switch if you have a 8700k this new processor for amd would do good for work load but not for gamers. If your a gamer and you have your 8700k just keep it. You will have to change motherboard and ram to keep your amd chip happy. Remember not all rams are optimized for amd. Also the plain and simple thing is 6/12 intel vs 8/16 amd and intel still manages to stay up on it…… i feel like your paying for some dummy cores and threads i would expect the results to be more in gaming. maybe at least a 10% more frames not 1% more frames…… I have said this before AMD is awesome for budget oriented builds were you have nothing and only have maybe 1000 bucks. Then you get more bang on amd because all chips are unlocked but if you have more money go intel the cores and threads are super powerful, AMD feels like it has cores that dont do that much work. Its like if McDonald gives you a burger for 2 bucks or you can get 2 burgers with 1/3 the patties for 2 bucks. i prefer to pay for an entire patty thank you very much. AMD fans not trashing much because I'm building my own AMD build for only 1200 bucks, just giving some insight on some people that would go from 8700k to the 3800x for gaming it doesnt make sense. Wait for the competition between these company get more heated so they can give us more power and a better price.

  2. So it's like the 3800X is a 8700K with more cores and threads, and they cost the same (release price; atleast in Denmark)… I'd say the best bang for buck is the 3800X now

  3. One word Bottlenecked the CPUs in this video are being Bottlenecked by how bad a midranged GPU is in a "CPU Benchmark" this is actually a midranged GPU benchmark not a CPU benchmark!

  4. You need to lower the graphics settings for CPU benchmarks otherwise all CPUs are limited by graphics card for example my pc has i7 8700k and gets 144/165fps in ROTTR on ultra settings 1440p.
