  1. Great video but I really had to struggle to get this program to work on my computer because of issues with the JAR files. I suggest that you provide specific links and instructions in the video description on how to download and import the correct JAR files

    1: You should mention that the poi jar files to download are binary files from the apache poi library
    2: I believe that the latest apache poi jar files do not have a "Cell" class so you might want to mention that apache poi 3.3 JAR files should be downloaded
    3: The user may also need to download commons-compress 1.18 jar files to support Apachoi poi jars.

    Thanks!

  2. Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-0" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/commons/collections4/ListValuedMap

    plz help me out

  3. Thanks for publishing this video, But I have a problem
    when I add another Column form my Jtable this error has happened("AWT-EventQueue-0" java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 4 >= 4), Can you tell me how can I fixed the error. thanks to helping me.
    this is my email gehadenayat@gmail.com

  4. sorry , you must use loop to get th data from table , in your method you get specific data only ,So if you add column or row in table the excel file will not be updated

  5. Great Video, I will be trying this tonight. Is there a way for me to open a saved excel doc, and then use the JTable to fill in certain spots on that document instead of creating a new document each time? I am trying to make a small program that will fill in a specific document.

  6. Nice video, I added Xmlbeans 2.6 to libary but it doesnt find XSSFWorkbook class, did you use an import aswell? and can you load the excel file back to jtable? can you maybe make an tutorial on loading and saving jtables to excel?

    UPDATE: I figured out the imports, just in case others are wondering …here it is 🙂
    import java.io.File;
    import java.io.FileNotFoundException;
    import java.io.FileOutputStream;
    import java.io.IOException;
    import java.util.Set;
    import java.util.TreeMap;
    import java.util.logging.Level;
    import java.util.logging.Logger;
    import org.apache.poi.ss.usermodel.Cell;
    import org.apache.poi.xssf.usermodel.XSSFRow;
    import org.apache.poi.xssf.usermodel.XSSFSheet;
    import org.apache.poi.xssf.usermodel.XSSFWorkbook;

    BTW I imported poi-3.13 & poi-ooxmi to get it to work
