Wide Angle optical system ideal for varmint/airgun
Lightweight and compact construction – short eye relief
16 layer fully multi-coated optics for exceptional clarity
Side focus control for parallax adjustment to infinity
30mm mono-tube chassis for superior strength
Glass etched reticle with red illumination
6 levels of brightness with off positions in-between
1⁄10 MRAD capped, resettable target turrets
ell and high torque zoom ring.

Both the AMX and AMX IR glass etched reticles are based on the spacing of a 10x Mil Dot. The AMX offers multiple aim points, useful when shooting air guns with loopy trajectories.

Half Mil Dot spacing on the lower post provides increased aim points for long shots.

The horizontal bars are calculated at 0.5, 1.5, 2.5, 3.5 and 4.5 mil spacing. Hollow posts are segmented into mil spacing and can be used for bracketing.

  1. From the size and balance point of view, which one do you reckon would go better with Weihrauch HW95 – Airmax SF 30 Compact 4-16×44 or 6-24×50?

  2. I have bought the 4-16 x 44 Airmax compact and fitted it to my TX200. It's a great scope with clear glass(far superior to the mamba). It is compact and lightweight. Eye relief is about an inch shorter than most of my other scopes, but I am able to mount on my TX near it's rearmost mounting position. I could also use reach back/forward mounts if needed, but they are not required for me. I am purchasing another Airmax compact to go on my HW110.

  3. I wonder if the eye relief is variable depending on zoom range?
Because when you shot from prone, your head falls on the stock at the same place every time and when your eye relief is not consistent, you struggle to get comfortable… I'm sure you understand!

Like my old Leupold which had an eye relief form 3.5 to 4.7 depending on power… It's 1.2" of play between the lowest and the highest power setting. This is huge! This is also the reason why I got rid of it!
So the 6 to 24 hawke compact model have a 3" eye relief… like stated on their website… It certainly has a play, but can you tell how much approximately?
    Thanks!

  4. Thanks – Just looking at these. Would love a locking ring on the eye piece – that's where my year old Vantage failed. Hopefully be getting the 3-12.. And are they really 'compact'? The capped turrets are a lot bigger than the low profile ones -not sure I can see the point?
