Intel’s i9-9900K (Amazon):
In this review of AMD’s new Ryzen 5 3600 CPU, we look at the remainder of Intel’s i5 lineup — primarily composed of the i5-9600K — and run generational benchmarks versus AMD’s older R5 2600/2600X and R5 1600 CPUs. All modern CPUs on the chart also have overclock numbers accompanying them. Memory was 3200MHz CL14 with manually configured secondary and tertiary timings for all bench platforms, ensuring data accuracy and consistency. 3200MHz is the highest frequency that works on everything we benchmarked in this list, allowing us to control a variable while still using a reasonable memory speed. We’ll do separate benchmarking on memory scaling. In the meantime, this benchmark tests the AMD R5 3600 for power consumption, Blender performance, Premiere, Photoshop, 7-Zip, V-Ray, GCC code compiling, and more, alongside gaming benchmarks versus Intel. Our reviews of the AMD R9 3900X, R7 3700X, AMD RX 5700 XT, and AMD RX 5700 are forthcoming or have already been published, depending on when you check this video. Be sure to check back regularly to catch all of the reviews — they’re mostly done! AMD vs. Intel 2019 has officially started.

  2. I just picked up the 2700x it was on sale for 197 and I had an extra 15 off. I was debating the 3600 but I just couldnt pass up the 2700x for that price. Do you guys think I made a good choice? I plan to game and stream and edit videos.

  3. Really goot quality presentation with plenty of information, even if it's a bit dense and monotonous.
    There, I reviewed the review.

  4. hey guys just wondering what temps you are getting for ryzen 3600. I just got it recently but my temp seems to be on the high side.

  5. AMD 3rd Gen Ryzen Boost Clock Investigation:

an Asrock AB350M Pro4 card at 70 euros, will give better performance on cinebench R20 compare to a Gigabyte X570 Aorus Xtreme, the card to 800 euros.

  6. why is the passmark scores for the Ryzen 3rd gen so high compared to 2nd gen

    take the 3600 vs 2600.

score is like 20,000 vs 13,500.

no way the difference is that much?

  7. Just got my CPU from NewEgg today. My build
    MSI X470 gaming plus, r5 3600; 32gigs ddr4 @3200 MHz , 1070ti 8gigs, Noctua D14 Heatsink.

  8. I'm building a pc for audio editing on Cubase..!
I won't do overclock and won't be able to upgrade before 4years..
    So Ryzen 5 3600 + B450 Vs i7 8700 + B365m..
Which one should I consider for better performance and longer run????

  9. so an upgrade to ryzen is useless, the i7 7700k rivals the ryzen 5 3600, so I think I will forget these processors ryzen, no OC, gpu scaling, boost frequency not respected it's all a brothel between majs AGESA, the oc of the memory etc …, in short I pass my way, go i7 9700k

  10. @Gamer Nexus

    i got a question:

the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 is a 3rd generation Ryzen processor because it starts with a "3" …as in 3600
    and
the AMD RYZEN 7 2700 is a 2nd generation Ryzen processor because it starts with a "2"…as in 2700

    am i correct?

  11. I bought the 3600X and whenever i play games and stream on OBS i get BSOD in less than 2 mins. ive tried every fix i can think of and it still crashes. can anyone help me?

  12. does it make a big difference overclocking the r5 3600? because then i would have to pay morr for a good vrm motherboard!

  13. 20:19 could somebody link me to where I can download this Blender monkey-head project file? I want to compare the render time on my very-old computer to that of the times shown in this video so I can understand just how much of an upgrade it would be to upgrade to a new computer. I'm a big blender guy

  14. I have a Ryzen 7 1700, would you recommend switching to this? I was going to switch to a 2700 but there is little info on it. It feels weird going to a ryzen 5, but all these cpus are so confusing.

  15. Having fx-8320 + m5a97 r2.0 + 16 gb (@1960 MHz dusl ranks) + 1060 3Gb. Today i bought r5 3600 + prime B450 plus… Waiting for G.Skill TridentZ F4-3200C14D-16GTZ
3200 MHz 14-14-14-34… And i should also buy a new C.O. that's it. With the benches and games… I should go 2x in multitasking programs and about 80% more avg FPS in every game…
